Massive Protest Against Blair, Media Blackout
London calling...
The Cenotaph (a lot of people seem to have chucked their children's shoes in the direction of Downing Street before they got here)
Marching along Piccadilly in the afternoon ...
Spotted in Mayfair...
Park Lane...
Marching towards PiccadillyCircus...

Today's London protest against Blair's policy in the Lebanon was MASSIVE, despite being ignored by ITN's early evening news and receiving only the most perfunctory of mentions on BBC TV.
I suppose it wasn't considered TOPICAL, eh?
I'd say 100,000 easily. I was about half way along the march and when I got to Parliament Square they were still leaving Hyde Park. The rest of my party gave up on Piccadilly and retreated into the Cafe Nero for refreshment. They watched for an hour as thousands marched by and never saw the end of the march. I didn't wait to listen to any speeches, I was knackered, so I went home.
